We started Meikle Studios because we want the world to love art as much as we do.
For us, it’s more than just painting; it’s about expressing yourself freely.
It's about you!

Artist Biography

Twenty five years ago I picked up a paint brush at my hometown art club and never put it down. Now I own and operate Meikle Studios in Salmon Arm, BC where I paint everyday, teach art - and when the stars align - realize ideas for Public Art pieces.

Public Art & Pipe fitting

Life before the art studio was over 9 years as a Red Seal Steamfitter/ Pipe fitter building natural gas power plants.

Those years as a journeyman, gave me an advantage as an artist creating Public Art: to concoct an idea, transform it into a conceptual drawing, and then render it into 3D art.

Thanks for believing in us and our crazy ideas!

ART UNVEILING - APRIL 7, 2021

"The concept I had for Radium's public art piece was based on the universal recognition of Fibonacci's sequence. Any logarithmic spiral is eternally pleasing to the eye and the golden ratio in nature and in art..." - Adam Meikle

World's Largest Treble Clef

"Music to me is ART inspiring ART; music is everything to my process." - Adam Meikle

"Imagine the first master composers: taking up their quill pen and ink, and writing a musical score! With its unmatched sharp stroke and charm, how skillfully they produced with that old world tool." - Adam Meikle

This is the concept behind the twists and turns of the Salmon Arm Treble Clef.

The Monarch's of Salmon Arm

"These delicate beauties appear as if they are kissing the side of the Innovation Centre. Placing the monarch's in reverse gradation from smallest to largest, challenges the viewer's perspective: how something so small, has such a big impact"- Jenna Meikle
